"Dosis sola facit venenum" (lat.) - "It is the dose that makes a thing poisonous" - Paracelsus, thirddefensio, 1538
"Similia similibus curentur." (lat.) - "Let likes cure likes ." - Samuel Hahnemann, Organon
The German physician Samuel Hahnemann expounded homeopathy first in 1796.
The word homeopathy dates back from the Greek word homoios – similar and from pathos – suffering. In other words we try to restore order in a sick body by using remedies with similar symptoms - and not according to the law of opposites (allopathic).
We consider chronic and acute illnesses as caused by disturbances in the vital force (life force) and these disturbances are manifested themselves in unique symptoms.
In the homeopathic treatment we try to correct this disturbance in order to restore order and balance.
Therefore homeopathy is a holistic therapy, where we consider the patient with all his physical, emotional and mental symptoms.
In the literature for patients you will find more information on homeopathy.
