Jeremy Sherr comes to Tokyo

Jeremy Sherr is one of the leading homeopaths and a brilliant talker. I attended a seminar last year in the UK. He knows a lot and he can connect tiny bits to a round picture. He also did some very important provings.

Jeremy Sherr is currently working on an AIDS project in Tanzania. Soon he will visit Tokyo for a seminar in January 2011. I hope that he can tell us a bit about his AIDS-project.

About me

Already as a mathematic student, I was considering studying medicine or psychology. Therefore, I focused my study more in direction of medicine by studying physiology as my minor.

When we arrived in Japan, antibiotics were prescribed without hesitation even for a little fever – which I considered dangerous for the health of society due to the emergence of resistant bacteria.

After the birth of our daughter, I had several encounters with several local physician who always prescribed antibiotics. Gradually I lost my trust in the local health care system.

Once my daughter had a very high fever I gave her some fever reducing suppositories resulting in a playing infant girl for 4 hours and then relapsing into the state before. Somehow, I realized that this pattern might not be the correct way of getting healthy again.

With all my doubts about the local health care and getting into contact with two homeopaths; I was drawn soon into the philosophy of Homeopathy and Tao-Shiatsu - the holistic treatment of diseases. 2003 I began the correspondence course at the School of Homeopathy in the UK.

At the beginning, it was hard to understand some features of Homeopathy like there is usually no molecule left in a potency of more than C12. However, growing deeper into the philosophy, experiencing the energy of the remedies on my family and on me and later on my patients let me overcome the traditional way of thinking of the western medicine.
